Actually my RAID5 NAS had a double disk failure so I lost all my online copies of movies so I'm just beginning the process of getting the disks back...

I reckon an update from kaspersky must have cleared them off the list.

It does indeed seem to fix the issue with sourceforge downloads.

Is 7.1.9 then effectively dead if we can no longer install plugins?

I tried to reinstall sagetv V7.1.9 today.

All fine until I tried to install plugins e.g. web interface.

Various jars would not...

Fixed it.

Prompted by your hints I chose to go to add/remove programs and to repair the MS C++ runtime and then rebooted when prompted.

All is now fine.
