Well, just because they replaced it doesn't mean it was fixed. But I would agree that your better off (without having used it) the HD extender now, even if you don't have an HDTV...

Connect a wireless bridge to your wired MVP, problem solved... That seems tow work better than a wireless MVP, based on posts around here. Thats what I do and it works great.

I've never had any real performance problem with Java 1.4. I just re-installed 1.6, and it does the same thing. It doesn't always do it, but skip/pause etc sometimes give a half sec or second delay...

I like Vista, and use it on my desktop. But its "advantages" for use in a PVR is questionably at best. Especially when you are using software that doesn't properly support Vista.
