Yup I did that for a long time with EventGhost. Works fine for a bunch of stuff.

However v7 doesn't have the dynamic customizable menus so not so easy anymore. :(

These are the .properties files, for extenders just build one and copy it changing the name to the MAC address of the extenders to sync. It's in the /Clients directory
