I found that most of the problems I had in the past were sound related. Not obvious.

Ha! I did the same thing a couple months ago - put the optical into the output port! Took me a day to figure it out - with a lot of effort in between.

I resolved the problem. The channels had previously been remapped to a different physical channel when I was using the HDHR.

I simply went thru the channel listing and changed the physical map...

CoreAVC decoder discounted $3

I just noticed that the CoreAVC decoder is discounted $3 thru early April. This brings the price down to $9.95.

I found the decoder is a lot more efficient for h.264 decoding than ArcSoft...

Channel changing problem with HDPR from 5.1 to stereo channels

I have a HDPVR connected to a Motorola 6200 STB. I use firewire for channel changing. I also use the optical link for sound. I use AC3 for the sound.

The channel changing will not always work....

I did this in August when I flew to Salt Lake City. It cost $9.95 for the entire day. I didn't want to pay the money but I really wanted to try SageTv in flight. It worked very well at that time.
