I have a USB2 500GB external HDD (Maxtor I think). The only issue I have is that it uses it's own sleep setup so sometimes it takes a little longer for videos from this drive to start playback vs the internal HDDs using Windows sleep mode. Otherwise it's been flawless.

One of the adaptors that convert 2 or more 5 1/4" bays to mutiple 3.5" bays is another option if you have the SATA ports and 5/14" slots to run it. Many use hot swapable bays which is nice in WHS.

All four of my drives are 4K. That must be the default.

You will need to move the files off one drive at a time and reformat the drives, selecting 64k block size. Hopefully, you have enough free space left to move the files around while you reformat each of your drives.
