Simple instructions for fireware STB control?
I've searched a bit and found references, but I'm currently a bit lost trying to piece together the partial instructions from what I assume are multiple approaches. Can anyone point me to a relatively simple and complete set of instructions for adding firewire STB channel changing and power on?
My linux setup is Ubuntu 10.10 with 1 HDHR and 1 HD-PVR hooked up to a Motorola DCX3200. I'm in process of switching from Windows (I'll be adding another HDHR and HD-PVR to the linux system when I can shut down the Windows system), but have been using IR channel changing and would like better performance (quicker channel changes).
