Jerky DVD-playback on HD200

Hi
I have just changed hardware and re-installed my SageTV Mediacenter.
Everything works fine after the installation except playback of DVD-folders (video_ts) on the STP-HD200 HD. The DVD-video plays but VERY jerky. On the SageTV computer the DVDís plays fine.
Aviís (xvid) and HD (mkv) plays fine on the extender even TV(HD and SD)works fine. So it shouldnít be a network problem.
Before the re-installation the playback worked fine.
Windows 7, SageTV v.7.1.5
Any idťas.

I've got the same problem, upgraded the hardware my SageTV server was running on, and voila - ripped DVDs no longer play smoothly.

All other video, including my OTA HD recordings play smooth, just the ripped DVDs that have this issue.

Would be interested to know if you had any luck with a solution.

Same issue here, beta 7.1.5 and HD300 and jerky dvd playback. Sometimes if I stop the dvd and start again, it will clear up.

All other files playback fine including h264 recordings. Interestingly enough, blu-rays also playback smoothly, only dvd's are jerky.

same problem here - but mine is generally slower with everything: viewing photos, redrawing menus, etc. Bug report submitted. Last firmware was Sept 2010. Maybe version 7 and the latest beta need a push

does anyone think this is the result of a bad drive or plugins?

Anytime you troubleshoot you should disable all of your plugins and start testing from there. If it was a bad drive it should affect any video, not just DVD. Unless all of your DVDs are on one physical drive and nothing else is on there.

Gerry
can you disable plugins without installing, or for that matter, just disable them on the HD200?

Your problem is probably unrelated to ours.

Since you have a general slowdown everywhere, I'm going to say you likely have some plugins causing the slow down.

My problem is purely DVD playback.

You should see a disable option.
