"No Data" in guide
I'm getting a fair amount of "no data" showing up in the EPG guide over the past week or so. It's here-and-there, but far more than the usual.
Anyone else seeing this? |

Seems like I have 16 days of data across three tuning devicesa

Thanks for checking guys.
I'll have to check logs this weekend to see if I can figure out where the problem is. |

Not yet. I won't have time to investigate until this coming weekend. Something changed, that's for sure.

I rebooted and is fine now. Curious that we both had the same issue at the same time. I was getting lots of java exceptions in web interface as well. I recall a java update recently so possibly something related to that. No clue but I didn't have to do anything other than reboot.
Nice to be fixed but not knowing what happened or why always makes me more uneasy than getting to the bottom of it.

Spoke to soon
So sagetv is back up and the program guide is working but I cant tune anything. My USB-UIRT Device is disabled in device manager with a code 52 that the driver signature has changed... very very suspicious.
Re-installed driver and back 100% operational as far as I can tell.

Sounds a lot like a Windows 10 automatic driver update problem.
Is there a way to delete all guide data and force it to re-download from scratch, without removing and re-adding tuners? |

In addition, with SageTV stopped, you can also delete the sdmd5prog & sdmd5sched files which contain the Schedules Direct info |

Deleted the sdmd5 files you mention, and that worked. Thank you! Those files don't appear to be recreated. What did I just delete? |

They will be recreated once EPG Update process completes (every 24hrs once last completed or you force EPG update)
Could take a bit. If you look at the Sage Web Server home/main page, it has: Program Guide: Last EPG Update: Jan 28, 2022 6:07:26 AM Next EPG Update In: 10.08hrs [Force EPG update]e Web UI should While the EPG update is still running, it will have 0 for the Next EPG Update. Once you see something else there, you should see the sdmd5* files Last edited by graywolf; 01-28-2022 at 07:00 PM. |

Yep. Those files are back. Not sure what went wrong, but thanks again for the help GW.

It seems like there is a growing problem with the EPG right now. A separate issue I suppose from the original topic, but I'm seeing shows like Ridiculousness and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air showing up in the guide on 2/11/2022 without any kind of season/episode number.
This occasionally confuses the scheduler it seems, and starts to indicate recording conflicts that may not actually exist. |

I rebooted the computer and the "Invalid Airing" errors in program guide are gone. Also, I can browse the EPG using the web interface without seeing errors. I did note the java heap monitor I installed back in 2015 seemed to be pegged with ~99% in use. Occasionally it would dip and show some green but then quickly back to all red. Just throwing that out there in case relevant.
I can provide logs or whatever else needed to troubleshoot. I'm technical with OS and hardware stuff but not programming and Java.

Just wanted to say thanks for this information. I recently added an OTA tuner and there were about 12 channels missing from the schedules direct feed (all minor channels - but it was still annoying to see the No Data entries). Your post made me take the time to properly report the missing data with schedule direct.
