Music player playing video files

Hoping someone can help me. I'm running the latest SageTV9 with no major UI- or music-related plugins. The music player usually works fine, but occasionally it crashes SageTV completely because it tries to play a video file from the Video Library. You can see this at the end of the attached log1. This happens randomly with different video files when using the music player. Does anyone know why it's even reading the video files?? Thanks

When I experienced a similar scenario it was due to the video file being damaged or corrupted. Remember the video file is a composite with a video part & an audio part. I have had instances where only one of the 2 parts were present so when i asked the media player to show the file i either got a video playback with no sound or a playback in music player due to a problem with the video part. Try testing the file with vlc player. It is more forgiving with damaged files. This usually happens when the show didn't record trouble free to begin with. What are you using for your video/audio decoders? If using win 10 your best option is to install the latest lavfilter. latest version is 74.1 https://github.com/Nevcairiel/LAVFilters/releases

It's not really about getting the video files to work. They all work fine when I use the video player in Sage. The problem is that I'm using the music player, and so Sage shouldn't be trying to play video files. They are marked as video files in the Sage Media Import Directories settings as well. But they're being picked up by the music player and I don't understand why
