Why can't you remove the Import Directories for music and pics?

I am building a new SageTV server and I don't want to have music or photos in SageTV as it hugely slows down library scans. As I have tens of thousands of pictures and music files as opposed to only a few thousand movie/TV files.

But I am not allowed to delete or even change the pictures or music folders which are (for my unRAID system): /var/media/music and /var/media/pictures.

What's the argument for not allowing you to delete or rename these folders?

As far as I know it has always been this way...not sure why but in a docker environment you could map it in the docker template to a location that has no music or picture subfolders. I assume that would work.

You can then add a folder mapping within SageTV for the media you want using the base unraid mapped folder to find the real location of your videos.

In Sage you also have to do a specific mapping for Photo and Music media folders. If you don't set those up in Sage you should be good regardless of where the files are in Unraid.
