Import recordings

How does a person set up Sage TV to import recording So that the recording shows up under recording and Sage TV and not imported video?

If you have BMT installed (or phoenix-core), then when files are imported, then they automatically get "scraped" which means that fanart and metadata will be fetched for that item.

If the setting to import TV as Recordings is enabled in BMT (just go to BMT web ui, configure, and search for import), then when TV files are imported they are added to the Recordings.

Or, if you use something likg Gemstone, or Phoenix UI, then you no longer care about what sages thinks is a Recording, since you can create your own views to include both "Recordings" and other TV content, so that they all show up together.

Thank you for the info. I run sagetv on win 7 64. I only use extenders with sage. HD200 and HD300. How well does pheonix run on extenders? To test can I run pheonix on 1 extender but not the other?

Thanks

After this post any I will move my questions to the phoenix forums.

I've used Phoenix on both HD200 and HD300 extenders (although mostly on HD300s now)... and It runs quite well (in my oppinion). When you install the Phoenix UI, you will need to go into the settings and load the Phoenix STV... so it will only only load on the extenders that you choose. The instructions are on the Phoenix install sticky. Also, you might try out gemstone as well.
