Deleting Wiz.bin on client?

If I delete the wiz.bin on the client machine, will it update itself with the one off the SageTV server?

When you first install SageTV there isn't a wiz.bin, so it will just create a new like it did then. You'll loss all your data, but keep your settings except for your favorites and other show related settings.

I don't know what you're trying to do but you might try using one of the following settings in the sage.properties file first. Just set it to true and then start SageTV.

wizard/clearprofile=false (removes all data (watched, don't like, favorites, etc.) except what's currently in SageRecordings, might also keep the current guide data)
wizard/clearwatched=false (just marks everything as not watched)

Whatevery you end up doing be sure to make a copy of wiz.bin and sage.properties, so you can go back if you decide you don't like what you did.

It is the Sage Client, it crashed earlie today and now has shwo details missing, on SageTV the details are there, so I was wondering if it would restore the details from SageTV wiz.bin?

My mistake, I wasn't even thinking personal client/server. I have no experience in this area, but your theory sounds good, I think it would be safe to try it if you backup the key files first.

Take a look on your client. There is no wiz.bin ON the client. The client reads the wiz.bin on the server.

You are very correct, seems when I restarted SageTV it also lost the info of the shows and now the shows are no longer in my recorded shows menu, real weird cause it was only the client which locked up.
