phoenix.image class question

I am using the phoenix.image class to create scaled images.

It is creating the images but they don't look correct they look monochrome. Is there is something I am doing incorrectly in my call to scale them?

Code:
phoenix.image.CreateImage("SCPTVSeriesBanner",Banner,"[{name:scale,width:150},{name:rounded,arcSize:20}]",false)
Like I said it scales them correctly into the folder I would expect them to be in but the images don't look correct. I have attached an image of what I am seeing.

do I need to infuse the image with a rounded image vs transform it is that the issue?

Did phoenix create that file... I would have thought it would have created a PNG file, since the rounded corners will only ever show up with transparency and jpegs don't have transparency (I think).

As for the color... this is common problem that I've seen many times... i'm not sure there is a fix for it, since it's in the Java Image code. The work around migtht be to use the SageTV image apis to load the images... not sure if core sagetv support dynamically creating rounded corners, but, it does support scaling.

yes phoenix did create that image. I think you are correct it's in the fact it's a jpeg and not a png. Infusing a corner gave me the effects I need many thanks!
