Private messaging help

Hi,
I am trying to send a private message, but the options do not show up. It's like I don't have permissions for private messaging. Is that possible? I have never used it before.
Any thoughts on how t get this enabled?
Thanks
Scott

Due to abuse by spammers, new users & those with a very low post count cannot use the PM feature.

So this effectively precludes those of us like me who are long time Sage customers from being able to get on the list for the any HD300 distribution.

I never joined the forum in the past as I was always able to solve my own problems without asking for help.

A workaround needs to be made available.

So, if I understand that correctly... if we have not posted enough, we can not follow the instructions from Narflex in the post about getting in line for a new HD300?

Too late anyway.

When Opus4 answered my question, I am assuming he enabled it for me because I can use messaging now.
The HD300s is why I wanted to send a message also so as soon as I could I sent a message about the HD300s, but was told that they were sold out.

I can private message now too. But it is a little late for that now.

Seems to me that this could have been better set up so that ALL Sage customers had a fair and equal shot at getting one. (they still have our email addresses don't they????)

I would be willing to bet there are some that are ordering multiple units and will turn around and resell them on Ebay at double the price

Looks like I can PM now, too. Thanks you to Opus4 or whoever granted access.

Rather than resell, the folks I know would be more likely to buy extras to have stashed away in case their in-use units die.

i ordered a couple not to resell but as RoadRunner has said, to replace HD200s (which will go into storage for backups) and to replace a HD300 that is starting to get flaky (which will also go into storage just in case).

I did see many use the visitor message area instead of PM before the cut off. Not sure if those got counted also but believe they did since later visits had them cleared out.

Best advice is to keep checking daily (or multiple times a day) for the next couple (maybe up to 5 weeks) for any news

Private Messaging Please!

Can someone please set me up for private messaging?

I'm a long-time member, but have had minimal need to post over the years (I've found answers by searching - awesome!). Now I'm trying to PM someone to buy a license, but I can't find private messaging anywhere in my options.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure how many responses it takes, but I don't think it's anything in the 100s. If you chime in on this thread again and a couple others you'll probably get to where you need to be.

Just make sure if someone is selling and you cannot message them leave your email ... and say you want to buy. EASY PEASY.
