Let STB OSD disapear before recording starts?

I've searched the forums, but have been unable to find an answer to this seemingly simple problem... Is there any way to make SageTV wait ~7 seconds after sending the channel change command before actually beginning a scheduled recording?

As it stands now, each of my recordings begin with about 2 seconds of whatever channel the STB was previously set to, then 3-5 seconds of the STB's on-screen display.

Clearly it would be preferable for SageTV to wait for the desired channel to tune in before actually beginning the recording. Is there any way to achieve this?

I'm using two SA 4250HDC STBs with channel changes done via firewire. Recordings are made via s-video into two PVR-150 cards.

Add a minute of padding to your recordings and you won't see the channel change; Sage will start playback at the end of the padding (i.e. at the actual program start time).

Or in the sage.properties file:

mmc/encoders/<tunerid>/delay_to_wait_after_tuning=<time>

Where <tunerid> is the id of the tuner, and <time> is the time to wait in milliseconds. Default is 0, or for the HD PVR 4000 (4sec), the HD PVR is long because it needs time for the A/V to stabilize before it starts recording (or at least it did).
