Final release

Do we have an idea when the final, non-beta, release will come out? Are we looking at Q4 2010?

They haven't even released a "release candidate" yet, so you are jumping the gun asking for an ETA.....

They also haven't released any beta version for Mac OS X yet.

At the last beta release for .16 Narflex warned us to report any outstanding bugs because the beta cycle was coming to an end.

That is the point I was going to bring up. It is certainly no definitive time frame, but it seems to be sooner rather than later unless a major bug is found.

Based on Narflex' comment and previous beta cycles I expect one maybe two more betas before final release. I'm going to guess Oct 1 Final.

Gmail was in "beta" from 2004 until 2009..... didn't stop me or half the world from using it.

Just saying....

SageTV 7 Final Release?

I'm waiting for the final release of v7 to install. I just don't have the time that might be needed to get me back up and running from any issues.

When does anyone think this might occur?

Thanks.

Definitely before Xmas 2010.

And all you need to do is make a backup of your existing SageTV6 installation. To go back, uninstall SageTV 7, install SageTV 6 again and then copy your backup of 6 over the install of SageTV 6. Now you're done.

It doesn't matter what anyone thinks It'll be released when it's released -- SageTV doesn't announce releases in advance...
