Need suggestions for SageTV and PVR350 Cards
I've been using SaveTV for a few years. The configuration consists of 2 Haupppauge PVR350, 2 Dish 311 STB, an Intel DG865GLC motherboard, a Pentium 4 3Ghz CPU and 2 gb of ram. I have no add-on video card on this PC. Tuning of the Dish 311's is done with a USB-UIRT and the Hauppauge 45-button (?) remote.
I also have a Hauppauge HVR1600 74041LF card which I've tried to get running in a similar PC but gave up for now because the video was jerky.
Until now I've used the TV-out on one of the PVR-350's to view both live and recorded video on a standard TV.
The old TV finally died and I bought a new Vizio VP322 32" plasma TV.
I've tried connecting the PC to the RGB inputs of the new TV, but the video was jerky and not as good as the results I get when I connect the TV-Out of the PC to the AV inputs of the TV. I've tried installing an Nvidia GeForce 7300 GT video card from another PC, but this seemed to make the video slightly worse.
I've also tried installing SageTV, the 7300GT video card, and the two PVR350 cards in another DG865GLC motherboard with an identical CPU and memory configuration with the same results.
I've tried everything I can think of to get this setup running. Any knowledgeable suggstions would be greatly appreciated.
Failing getting the current setup working, I would appreciate recommendations for a no-BS, guaranteed to work, motherboard/CPU/memory/Video solution. I would like to use the two PVR350's and the HVR1600. I don't have a whole lot of money to spend on this, but I sure would like to get it running.
