MCE Remote and EXEtuner problem

Im following the guide written by OPY01 trying to get my MCE blaster to change my dishnetwork 301 box using HIP. The first part is actually where im having trouble. http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/down...do=file&id=187

I can change the channels on the box with HIPWSEND no problem.

I copied the EXEtuner.dll to the sagetv common folder but it doesn't show up in the sage video sources menu.

when i run the registry entry it says its been added but changing channel in sage doesn't generate a notepad.

Instructions say to save the file as EXETuner.reg: but windows won't let me save it anywhere with the : on the end. Does that matter?

Do i need to do this to clients too or just to the server

When i add the line "C\:\\ProgramFiles\\SageTV\\Common\\EXETunerPlugin.dll' to the sage.properties, how do i know which tuning plugin to put it beside?

ok i got the tuner control showing up in sagetv now. i still can't get it to generate a notepad, much less actually change the channel. Using HIPWsend i can change the channel perfectlly. Someone please help me with this registry entry i think its the only thing holding me back. i know very little about the registry.

Yes. Save it as without the ":" on the end. ":" is an illegal(not allowed in file names) character for filenames in Windows. That's why it wouldn't let you save the file. Once you save it without ":" it will be recognized by Windows as a registry import file.

I don't use that plugin or really know it inside and out, but... If everything else is basically working then, once you get you reg file created you can run the test(as stated in Doc file). If the test works just continue on with the rest of the instructions. Good luck.

I have gotten some things to work. Mainly sending the 0-9 keys with hipwsend.

I cannot get the exetuner plugin to generate a notepad though.

Ive also tried exemultituner plugin without success.

The guide mentions to put the registry entry directly in the frey technologies folder, but I have the .dll in the common folder. So I made a string value in both folders, still no go.
