Angry Where are all the files?

I am trying to evaluate SageTV, but can't even get it working with my HDHomeRun tuner (DVB-T edition).

In Windows land (which SiliconDust assume is the only platform people use) I can generate frq files with the HDHomeRun config software.

I have manually created these files, so that I can run a scan here in SageTV - but can not work out where they go.

There is limited (if any) documentation that I can find about SageTV on a mac, so I can't work out where config files sit (there doesn't appear to be anything in the Application Package, nothing in ~/Library/Application Support, and nothing in /Users/Shared/SageTV)

I believe they are in /Library/Application\ Support/SageTV/

While we are asking about where....

Where do I install plugins on the mac? I grabbed the AutoCompress plugin. And inside the SageTV folder (mentioned above) is a plugins folder. If I put the whole folder in, nothing happens, if I put the Jars from the folder in, nothing happens, am I missing something?

Windows is the only OS where you first run a scan in the HDHR channel editor to create a .scn file before scanning in SageTV. All other systems do all HDHR scanning in SageTV, then you remap the channels to the proper stations.

Ok, well - how can I add the channels?

Because it won't read in a frq file - the scan starts, scans 0 channels - then finishes.

does the tuner show up with silicondust's software?

if so, you should just be able to go to setup within sage and add a new source.

Ahh - yes - it works fine.

And sage running on a Windows box seems to be able to scan if the frq file has been dumped there by the Silicondust config app.

But - because I use a mac, and don't want to watch TV in a Virtual Machine, I thought I would look at SageTV for Mac.

Which doesn't seem to support the DTV-B SiliconeDust tuners.

So, am I correct in assuming that Sage Doesn't actually support the HDHomeRun tuners sold outside of the United States? (so the DVB-T HDHomeRun is NOT supported).

The DVB version of the HDHR is new and SageTV support for it is still under development. I think some people may have it working in Windows, but if it doesn't work on a Mac, there is still work to be done to support it.

Cheers Opus4, the DVB version isn't that new... it's just only started to become popular I guess. I have had it for a few months.

Are there any timelines on development? I don't want to buy these SageTV boxes and just hope that support for everywhere other then the USA will be released.
