DirecTV STB's

My Linux server stopped recognizing my HDPVR and I've been too busy with work to spend much time troubleshooting it. So I purchased a new HDPVR to replace it. It turns out the problem was just the power supply.

I now find myself with an extra HDPVR. I'm currently using a DirecTv Genie STB that I'm controlling with it's http interface.

I'm thinking about getting another STB and using this extra HDPVR. I'm not sure what the best option is for the STB though. Genie mini's don't have component or a web interface. I don't know if you can have two Genies on the same dish. I'd rather not use IR if I don't have to. Any suggestions?

I'm in the same boat. From what I can tell the H24 receiver is the way to go - has component and web interface.

H24 or earlier is the best but H25 should work. The component connects via a dongle if I remember correctly.

I thought the Genie Minis had that same "AV Output" plug on the back as the main Genie. Don't they? I am thinking of going to Directv so I would like to know that. Thanks.

The 4K minis do not have the AV Output on them.

I have one similar to this device that seems to work very well and has 5.1 channel audio;
