Can you stop Sage using hard drive space in ‘Live Video’ mode?

My drives are always close to full (a problem I’m looking to cure with archive storage), and Sage is eating all my hard drive space in ‘Live video’ mode, then crashing when it runs out of space.

When I say ‘live video’ I just mean when using the Sagetv server software to watch live tv, as opposed to watching via media extender.

Is there a way to limit live video being recorded so it deletes and starts recording over? I’m particularly concerned with long, three/four hour shows like sports.

If I could tell Sage to record no more than an hours worth of live video, that would really help.

There's an option under 'customize' called:

Code:
Delete Live TV files when not using Intelligent Recording
If you're using Intelligent Recording I don't know of anything else.

Thanks - Intelligent Recording is always turned off. I’ll check that setting.

UPDATE: yes, had that turned on. And it does work, but if you’ve left the channel on a program that’s three/four hours long, well, that’s 16-20gb used before deletion
It would be great if you get set a GB limit for that setting.
