Sagetv Client wont enter standby

Finally set my client machines up properly for S3 (standby) and I cant for the life of me get any of my computers to enter standby with sagetv client open. In Windows Power Options I have something like, monitor off =5min, hd off=5min, standby=15min. I have been trying to get this to work on more then one computer and they all dont work so there must be something im missing.

With sagetv not open standby works great! and works every time! With Sagetv open and just sitting on the menus (recording finished playing or was stopped) The monitor power off works but standby will never happen.

On my main computer I play sagetv client off on a extra monitor while i work, and 90% of the time sagetv is playing nothing and it is not even the active window and it still wont allow standby. As soon as i exit sagetv client idle activity sends it into standby again.. This is really driving me crazy and it seems like every time i search people act like this functionality is built into sagetv & windows and it should just work. ..What am I doing wrong?? Or if i need to setup some script or use a plugin thats fine. Any Hints?

Found this but no answer. Sage client preventing standby What I don't get is I cant get it to work with a fresh windows install on more then on computer and they are different drivers, I must be doing something wrong.. S3 works great as long as sage is not running.
