If anyone is having issues, be sure to grab the latest neilm.sageimdb.jar file located here:

https://bintray.com/jrekiwi/SageTV/nielm_sageimdb Version 2.0.1

The updated CMT.stvi will not work without the above jar file being updated.

At least mine didn't.

So real quick manual update steps:
1. Stop Sage service
2. Download the 2 files mentioned in this thread. Rename the old ones.
3. Copy these files over; my directories were:
c:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\JARs (for the JAR) and
c:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV7 (for the updated CMT.stvi)

I also went into Detailed Setup and manually installed/updated the updated STVI - not sure if this step is required, but who knows. Didn't hurt anything.

If this helps anyone great....thanks again Neilm and everyone! I opened that STVI in my word editor and immediately got a headache - you guys are the best.

Another issue to be aware of: the SageTV add-on for Kodi only works with Java v7, not v8.

The installation issue is caused by a number of factors
1. The plugin submission system will not verify plugins when an http download path is specified for a large number of file stores (bintray, dropbox etc)
2. SageTV V9 and Java 8 are required to download from https stores.

A workaround is to edit the SageTVPlugins.xml file in the SageTV folder and do a search for https://bintray.com and change it to http://bintray.com then it will work

I assume SageTV needs to be restarted for the workaround?

No, SageTV should just pick it up next time you go into the Plugins panel.

hmm, what I'm finding is that the XML file is being reopened and rewritten to with "https:" every time I try to update, so not working for me unfortunately.

Unzip SageTVPluginsDev.xml into the SageTV folder and the settings in this will override the settings in SageTVPlugins.xml

well, I appreciate the Zip file, but... even with "http:" prepend it still fails.

Looks like I'm going to have to upgrade Java after all.

You could always do the Java upgrade, install the plugins, then uninstall Java 8 or do a manual install of the updated JAR (no change in the stvi)

1. Stop SageTV service
2. Download the the updated JAR https://bintray.com/jrekiwi/SageTV/d...imdb_2.0.1.zip
3. Unzip and overwrite JAR c:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\SageTV\JARs (default path for 64bit Windows)
4. Start SageTV service

If you rename the existing JAR, make sure you change the extension from .jar

I have found a new download link where I have placed the 2.0.2 version which is http and valid for the plugin verification system.

Hopefully that will work for Java 7 and/or SageTV 7.
Definitely works with Java 8/SageTV 9

[Malfunction]

The file "nielm_sageimdb.jar" turned up missing today after 3 plugins updated. I think the update of CMT was missing the file. I copied my old file back in and it's apparently working right now.

That's weird. I had to change all the download sources to use HTTPS as bintray are dropping HTTP support from Jan 13.

There was change to the content, just changing the download from HTTP to HTTPS. It downloads fine for me, I'll see if I can get it to fail.

I may have brought this on myself. I updated all 3 plugins one after another, and restarted SageTV after doing all 3 instead of 3 times.

Is IMDB search still working? Anyone else seeing this? I saw the same issue back in August/Sept 2018 but that was fixed by replacing the old jar with nielm_sageimdb.jar version 2.0.1 (thank you JREkiwi). Just downloaded version 2.0.2 thinking that may help but no success.

Worked like a charm!

Backed up my SageTV directory, upgraded from V7 to V9 (retained all settings), installed Java 8, used the UI to install/update plugins including CMT.
Note: Had to disable Malwarebytes because I kept getting the below errors when trying to install the CMT plugin:

Dependency Install Phoenix-api- FAILED
