Forcing type to TV by folder?

I just installed Pheonix and BMT for the first time. I am a total newbie.

So far things are going well, but I have a whole lot of imported TV shows that BMT cannot find a match for. Is there any easy way to change the type of recording for all of these shows to be TV so that they do not show up as movies? (The movies listing is more important to me than the TV listings)

All of my TV shows are in the folder E:\Video\TV_Shows

I have fixed many of the shows by adding entries to the MediaTitles.xml file, but there are still several hundred shows that BMT cannot match.

Can I simply add the following to my MediaTitles.xml file

<match>
<regex>[\\/]TV_Shows[\\/]</regex>
<metadata type="tv"/metadata>
</match>

Will this act as a catch-all to classify shows that do not match any of the other "match" tags as type TV? If not, then how can I do this?

Thanks!

MediaTitles is only a "search" mechanism and it will not reclassfy the items. You can use bmt batch editor to do this though. Just navigate to the base folder for all your tv shows and then go into the batch editor and set the MediaType to TV and save. it will change the MediaType on all the files to TV.
