I have a question about video cards..
I would put this in hardware support, but it only seems to appear in sageMc, so I guess I'll put it here. If you feel it is appropriate move it.
I recently was given an ATI 4670 video card, me being the tinkerer I am went and replaced my older ATI 3650 with the new "shiny" card. I went and uninstalled the old ATI drivers (8.12) then installed the new card.
Then I proceeded to install the catalyst 9.3 drivers from Sapphire. Everything went well. Now here is my issue, if I press info, or the time bar comes up during 480i video, the osd flickers, same thing with the mini guide. Now, 1080i, 720p, do not exhibit this phenomenon. Thinking it was an issue with the 9.3's I re-installed the 8.12's, and still the same..
I went and did a re image of my os to prior my installation, and put the 3650 back in. Oddly the OSD is stable (no flicker) in any video format.
Is it me, or does anyone else have this problem?
I am using :
SageTV V6.5.9.204
Java 1.6.0_13
SageMC 6.3.8b 12
The video filter is Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD7)
I am wondering if it could be UVD2 related, or user error.
I would like to use this card, granted I did not have issues with the old one, more that H.264 video seems smoother with the new card is all. Plus when I upgrade my AVR, I will be (hopefully) able to pass 7.1 audio to my reciever.
