Gemstone vs Phoenix Head-to-Head comparison
Can someone please make a head to head comparison video of these two and post the video to youtube? I'm no Sagetv expert and have no clue about these two, how they change the default settings, how they are different themselves. Btw, wth is Gemstone while i'm at it...

Gemstone is a SageTV UI replacement that adds support for custom menus, fanart, weather, and other widgets.
https://www.google.com/search?q=sage...=1920&bih=1070 Phoenix is a set of APIs for managing weather, media, fanart, etc, and Gemstone uses those. Phoenix UI is a another UI replacement for SageTV, but it is not not really supported/developed at this point.

No, I don’t think so.
I don’t think the Phoenix UI is still supported, so I would’t install it. Even if it were supported, you can only have one UI at a time. The Phoenix API is a whole separate thing and it would get installed automatically by any other plugin that needed it (the Sage plugin system is designed to install dependencies automatically). So you should t need to install it manually.
