Video Library Organization Display Help

I'm just setting up my SageTV, coming from BeyondTV.

I would like to get stuff organized, but am not quite sure to go through it in the software. Here's what I have
Music @ //Public/Pics/
Kid Movies @ //Public/Kid/
PG13+ Movies @ //Public/PG13/
Music @ //Public/Music/
Home Videos @ //Public/Pics/

I'd like to see the following when I go to Videos tab in Sage:
1. Kid Movies
2. PG13+
3. Home Videos

Right now, they are all thrown in together and its a very long list!

I assume you are using SageTV Out of the Box (no plugins) for now so given that assumption I would suggest looking at the VIDEO - FOLDERS view. If you have added the //Public folder as the folder level to be IMPORTED then the VIDEO - FOLDERS view should give you what you are looking for (or close). There is also a setting in the Options under the FOLDERS view for showing folders seperate or combined. I haven't used this view for a while but I always used it as combined so try it out.

Once you have played with Sage without plugins then you will want to try some of the plugins as they add alot of functions. I personally recommend Diamond and BMT but the great thing with Sage is there are alot of options.

hey thanks...I had added each folder seperately. looks like you were right, just add the one folders and let sage organize like I already had it organized.

now whats this about a plugin?
