Is this forum still needed?

What's the purpose of this SageTV OS forum now that pretty much everyone has moved to the OS version of SageTV? Shouldn't the topics be covered in the regular forums?

I'll take it that you mean this "subforum", and I was wondering the same. Not whether it was needed, but it seems that people are posting Open Source threads in the Sage Software area. It's getting tough to figure out where to look ...

Yeah - you're right I guess it is the sub-forum that I am talking about. But now that the default assumption should be that everyone is using V9 then general questions should go in the SageTV software area.

Actually, I've been moving lots of general use questions, or there wold be a lot more topics here. I think this area should be left for development and perhaps some bug discussions.

And, no, I still haven't gotten around to any type of subforum redesign.

You gotta break up that SageTV Recorder forum as it is impossible to keep up with the volume of threads

Well, you were the one who asked about a reorg while back, so I thought I would answer that question before it came up again.

But I hadn't even considered the Recorder forum... maybe that one will go on top.
