Marketplace is nice but How about some fair Market prices ?
It is nice that Folks can now buy sell and trade there unused Sage Software Licenses and extenders but I have no idea what the fair market prices are. Heck I do not even remember what the last retail prices were.
I would never pay full price for any software or product that is no longer supported and has a limited life expectancy. I am debating on whether to sell and bail on my Sage setup or stick around and look for another extender or 2 and keep on using it for awhile longer. So would it be too much to ask what the ball park Fair Market Values of all these Sage items are worth. And don't tell me to search on Ebay because most of the prices I have seen there are ridiculous.

![]() So my guess is whatever these things are selling for on eBay is probably about what people are paying for them here minus some savings due to lack of eBay fees.

I understand where these guys are coming from, but the "fair market value" is whatever people are willing to pay. It's capitalism at its best... for better or worse. There's a reason Enzo's go for millions of dollars.

I guess the Market is what it is but I just can not see paying that much for a used device that retailed for less when it was new.
The more I see all this nonsense pricing the more I think I will just move on to Media Center and either get a couple of used Xbox 360's or wait for the Cetons to come out. I just mostly want the DVR functions and am not concerned about long term storage. I watch and trash mostly and rip a few DVDs & CDs. Mostly just don't want to pay the Cable Co. for monthly Dvr & Box rentals.
