Sure take the remote away

Look under Setting under Customize
Look for "Ask to delete recording at end of playback"
There maybe other option

Specific movies, or all movies that are recorded?

Which platform? On Linux you can change the owner of the video files to someone other than the user the Sage process runs as and the permissions to something that won't allow deletion. I'm not sure how to do the same on Windows.

Movies ghat you imported or movies that you recorded with Sage?

Imported movies that show up in the Videos menu can be somewhat protected. If you go into one of the Videos screens and press the Options button on your remote, then choose “Menu Options”, then “Advanced Options”, there is a checkbox for “Allow Video Deletion”. As long as this is not checked, you won’t have the option to delete imported videos.

Not sure if this helps you.

isn't there parental control features/plugin so that you have multiple user logins?
Don't know much about them but might have that capability in them, pin protect the "admin" account that can delete recordings/videos ?

If we had the same options for movies that Sage records it would be perfect & changing wives is not an option
