Is there any chance of getting this ported over to SageTV7? Upon completion of watching a show Sage7 keeps the file open.

I included it in the Multi Function Stop plugin. Seemed a logical place for it to go, but I could do it as a separate plugin if you want.

Hi John,

I discovered this thread today from a Google search. I used to use your Multi Function Stop plugin for SageTV 7 solely for the close media file on finish functionality (yeah, I don't understand why this isn't the default behavior either), but finally decided that I didn't want to hit the stop button twice anymore, so I removed it. I didn't realize that you had once offered to break the Close Media File functionality out into a standalone plugin for SageTV 7. I don't know if you would still be open to the effort required for such a thing, but I would certainly use it.

Brian, I went the much easier route. I've added an option to disable the Multi Function Stop
Setup / Detailed Setup / Customize / Multi-Function Stop.

An update is in the plugin repository.
