New set-top box, no signal in SagetV


Opss, stupid mistake. I inverted some component cables...

Now I have video signal but... no sound. Maybe I need to adjust some option in the Explorer?
I will come back if I find the solution.

Still no sound, and I have no idea what to do next.
Note: Old recordings (before the new set-top box) have sounds. So that seem a problem with the recording, not with the playback.

I restored a backup I did before the changes to remove the updated Hauppauge driver and now everything work fine.

Hi, long time user here.

I love SageTV but I hate the fact that I get lots of problems when I try to change anything... :-(

My cable provider forced me to upgrade my set-top box, and guess what? SageTv dosn't work anymore.

SageTV v7, Windows 10 32bits
Cable provider: Vidéotron
new set-top box: Cisco Explorer 8642HD
card recording: Hauppauge HD PVR 2
tuning: USB-UIRT
I use component cables to connect the Explorer to the Hauppauge, then USB cable to connect Hauppauge to the PC

The problem:
The Hauppauge card seem not working, the light is greenish or yellowish (I hope I tell the correct colors... I'm colorblind ;-) ). On TV all I see is a black screen with the words "No Signal". Note: the channel tuning work. I actually see the change of channel on the Explorer.

What I tried to resolve the problem:
  • reboot everything (PC, Hauppauge device, Explorer device)
  • Update the Hauppauge driver
  • in SageTV, remove the video source, then add a new source

So what's wrong? Any ideas...?
