The right way to configure channels on multiple tuner sources
I've been running Sage for the last year or so with 2 QAM tuners via an HDHR and 2 analog tuners via Huappauge PVR 500.
They seem to work together well and for the channels that they both get I have the HDHR tuners at a higher merit and that seems to work fine.
I just added another HDHR that is getting its signals from an ATSC antenna (so two OTA/ATSC tuners) . I'm getting a good selection of channels, but trying to figure out the right way to configure those channels so that they'll integrate properly with other tuners.
Specifically, from a WAF perspective. If she wants to watch Fox, that's channel 2 or 702 (hi-def.) around here on Comcast which is what she's used to. I want to give the ATSC tuners the highest merit. So, if she starts her placeshifter client or one of the extenders and wants to watch fox hi def I'd like her to be able to type 702 and she should get the hi def feed for Fox from the ATSC tuner. How do I do that? And I assume that will also work for recordings, I'd like scheduled recordings to pull from the 2 ATSC tuners first and second, the 2 QAM tuners third and forth, h264 component/USB cable box input fifth (as soon as that's available) and Analog cable from the PVR 500 sixth and seventh.
Does this setup make sense? How do I get the ATSC tuners/channels configured to get the WAF I need and should I be thinking about anything else?
thanks
