I was about to release a new version that handles loss of signal better and doesnt "freeze up". Not sure about continuing support now...

That is f'ed up. Anyone working for SageTV should've let you know, maybe privately if they didn't want the info to go public. Not sure if Opus knew about the HDNE support, but maybe he didn't. I'm sure had you asked them about it; they would've let you know, but still, someone should've informed you.

But as previous member said, dont get discourage, please continue to work on it. I know nielm is still working and updating his webserver plugin even though SageTV already announced that they are including remote scheduling in v3.0.

You (or more specifically the programmers at Sage) have just become my wife's best friends!!! She's been begging me for this since I installed SageTV. HUGE WAF POINTS!!!

One quick comment though... I sort of like that the icons only show for things that are actually going to record, and not at the same time. Specifically, I could see benefits to always showing the icon so that you knew that a particular show was set up as a favorite-first run or whatever. Perhaps a way to compromise would be to put in grey-colored icons for ones that are not actually going to record (like shows you've seen already, or are marked as reruns and you only do the first runs, etc.)

Since it is a suggestion, and not a bug, how would I get the Sage guys to consider this?

Copy the files in the zip to the "STVs\SageTV3" dir, under your SageTV install dir.
NICE JOB!

If I marked the new recording as a Manual Recording, it continued recording while I stopped playback & then switched to the new show. Obviously, this is a pain for channel surfing.

For playing existing recordings, if you simply stop playback before starting to play a different recording, it seems to work ok.

FWIW it also occurs when it switches files for a new show Also at least with me right now if you flip to another channel but come back to the other quickly it carries on with the previous channel fine.

Even with Sage including HD support, your plugin will still be of great value. Especially since it's a network encoder, you can run it with HD boards in a PC that doesn't have to have Sage installed, meaning you can put your HD board/boards in a completely seperate machine without having to have another Sage Server license.

I have received multiple messages about people buying Sage because of HDNE support (given it wasnt perfect...). So some heads up would have been nice

I was about to release a new version that handles loss of signal better and doesnt "freeze up". Not sure about continuing support now...

yeah, I hate it when I get dis-COUGAR-ed. The darned thing gets loose and wreaks havoc in the neighborhood!

Seriously though, Stealth your work is MUCH appreciated. I just got an HD card and was this close -><- to installing your software. The only thing that had been holding me back was the impending release of the 3.0 beta.
Hang in there! Who knows, your option still may be the preferred way to go. We'll have to see how well Sage's implementation pans out once it gets into the beta. That's why there are all these STV's, plugins, imports, etc. To make up for things missing, and/or not to everyone's liking.

Same here. My installs (both Sage & Sage Client) work flawlessly and the v3 UI feels cleaner than Cayars so I would love to use it, but I can't give up Comskip and the space meter either.

I would be completely content with a STV that incorporated even just those two features and nothing else. I understand why Sage wouldn't roll comskip functionality into an official release, but the space meter? Why wouldn't they have taken the time to add that as a UI option?

For just that reason I can't downgrade back to 2.2. I'll live with the Bugs for now. And if the SAGE MODDING GURU's read this... Pump us out an STV than gives us the stuff we all miss but still has the look of V3.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!

Nothing for me

sorry folks,

but i see nothing...why i use 3..i have it tested...but i see no more benefit.

for me it is only interesting the server and the mvp client, and there i see that is nothing better on 3 as 2.2.8

i can't use meekeel (or so) and my server will not faster (it is an older system..so i can see it is faster or not)

in germany i have no german ui. but in the setup i see german ui ... what else

ok the ui is a little bit better in the 3 version but it is only a little bit better.

ok folks...why i use the new beta (fast forward is not ok on my mvp)???????

tvtv not working.... ok this a beta...but i have in past better betas on my computer...the 3 is (i think) really a beta..and nothing else...

i hope that the final 3 is that what we all need...

cu folks

I am SO hoping that the Fusion 3 card is supported with unencrypted QAM capabilities. My life while watching TV will be perfect then...

Please let it be!!!!

If they pull off QAM - then I will be shocked... without direct support from DVICO. MS BDA spec doesnt supported - from what I have gleaned from the SDK.

Argh!!! Im gone a few days and i miss the beta launch !@#@$#! !@#@!

Now i gotta try it out

Stealth don't stop working on HDNE i know i haven't posted lately but i do use it and think it's the greatest. I belive it's always best to have options, A choice of HD support would be a great option to have.

Also i don't belive that Sage will be able to pull off unecrypted Qam either, But then everybody did say using multiple tuners in windows was impossible to even for a time after sagetv came out with multi tuner support then everybody started scrambling to add multi tuner support once they saw it working in sagetv.

So you never know.
