Can you post the SageTV section of your global.ini? (removing the password section of course)

Have you chosen to trust the certificate? Go to IE and then go to your webserver. If you have not chosen to trust the certificate than SA can't access the page. Take a look at this post on the DG forums.

The entire thread is here.

If this is the cause, this stems from the fact that I can programmatically disregard some of the certificate warnings, but an untrusted certificate, I can't.

If this isn't the case, let me know and I'll upload a special version that does some logging.

Jere, I was wondering.. I see that SA has the ability to stop analyzing when a file is playing.. I take it it is reading this information from the SageTV webserver plugin... My situation is that the webserver is running on the Sagetv Server, which only records and never plays any videos.. I have two MVP clients that actually do the video playback.. is there any way we can have SA check multiple webservers for playback status? As far as I know my server only shows what is currently recording and has no way to know what clients are playing. I've suggested that a more centralized webserver be built that can detail what additional clients are doing, but that is just a wish list item at this point.

Thanks!

I have an instance now that has been hung for just over 2 hours. (I have a 4 hour timeout set)

A log has been created but it is empty and there is no text file. I have been unable to stream media with Orb in quite a while. I wonder if there is some correlation here. Perhaps a decoder conflict? Not sure exactly when Orb went south as I don't use it offten.

I'm going to uninstall ShowAnalyzer and Orb then reinstall Orb and see if it works. BTW Sage works fine on this PC using nVidia decoder.

HC,

Is this what you're seeing?

Some info, I haven't changed anything lately, except updating SA. I have no idea what's causing it, considering after I kill the process, it will scan the same file no issue. I do have SA/DM configured to scan while recording though.

Maybe at some time in the future, yes. Honestly, it is low on the priority list though.

Stanger89,
I am seeing that exact thing starting with 0.5.9.

I have to kill the SA task, then it restarts fine. Exit does not work.

I have been seeing the same thing with .5.9. I disabled scan file while writing, and havn't seen it happen again.

When SA freezes, are you (anybody) accessing the file over a network whether mapped or not?

I'm also having this problem on a couple of files. Killing the process and restarting seems to run fine. SA is acessing the files directly on the hard disk. If you want a log or anything like that I will try to save one if it happens again.
