Here's the answer of SageTV support:

"Thank you and just to let you know we are working with them on correcting this issue. "

So let's wait and see...

Changing your system's time zone to GMT should fix the times for the TVTV data.

Then you could change your timezone in SageTV to be correct; that one is independent of your system's time zone (although it uses it as the default). The setting is in the Configuration Wizard.

There will be a fix for this soon; just wanted to point out a workaround for now.

IT'S WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
TVTV has added SageTV to their supported devices...

It is a start...
I might be missing something here but I get ALL channels for ALL countries after downloading EPG data.
Even though I've set up my profile on their website to just some of the UK channels.
But worse than that - I enabled BBC1 in the channel lineup went to the programme guide and nothing! Just "No Data" across the board...

Anyone had any more luck than me?

Nope thats exactly what I get too, for most of my major channels (in my lineup. only international ones have data -- eg BBC World , CNN and Euronews, and some of the French channels.)

I don't think that the website channel lineup is meant to correspond to the downloaded lineup...

I've just signed up to tvtv as well, and having the same problem. All the channels I need simply have No Data on the EPG, apart from E4. (Trying to set this up in the UK on Sage 4.0)

I was also wondering if anyone had found either ITV4 or More 4 in the channel listings? Can't find the suckers anywhere

I'm going to submit something to tvtv, but if anyone can shed any light in the meantime??? Thanks

Gecko

Hello i have the same problem too

Yesterday i saw on the tvtv page that SAGETV now is supportet! So i configured my sagetv new with the tvtv account. But at my first attempt i got EPG datas for only fife channels of configured 24 channels the other 19 channels had the "EPG" informations "No Data".

But what is nice! The channel logos are downloaded correctly... nice :-(

What can i do? Is here al trace or log file there i can use to fix the problem?
On witch side is the fault? TVTV or SageTV?

Thanks for all help..

I've got the same problem.
And I've just raised support requests with both tvtv and Frey.
If you haven't already I'd suggest that you do the same.
The more people shout about it the quicker it will get fixed

hi all

i have 29 channels configured. (the icons are here too, nothing impressive...)
4 channels gets no data from tvtv. (unknow why, on the tvtv website is the information available)
2 channels are missing. no idea how to add them...
and yes, my tvtv service is now valid and accepting the sagetv product

but finally, the time is wrong (1 hour ahead).

any tricks with change of timezone will definitively _not_ work.

- the sagetv server is member of one AD-domain and gets his time from the domain controller. if i change the timezone to GMT the clock will follow and therefore all recordings are 1 hour to late...

- the sagetv client is also member of that domain. if i change the time_zone in the sagetv.properites, this timezone information will passed to the client and changes the clock and behaviour of the client.

the only way it works is that the import of the tvtv data is in sync with the timezone setting of the server and clients.

i hope sagetv will correct soon, the import module for getting tvtv data!

- Noeggi

EPG Colours

Hello

Since testing by sage of the tvtv plugin seems very limited, i was wondering will the guide when using tvtv show category colours. Because it looks like the data will be in the language of the originating country. This means i will have 4 different languages for the category name.

My TVTV problem not technical, but still 'no data'

Hi,

I'm living in Holland and try to use the tvtv service. Technical seen, I have everything working. Sagetv is getting the EPG data from tvtv.nl/nl every day. I have paid for the tvtv services. After login, it says that I use Sagetv software.

My problem is however that tvtv is not supplying the data. Only the German channels have EPG data, all Dutch channels only receive "no data" from tvtv. In other words, tvtv send only EPG data with "no data" information.

I have called their helpdesk and I was told that someone would call me back. But they don't. I have Emailed them and received an Email back that they have forwarded it to their technical dept. And I did not hear anything
anymore.

I tried to trace the company, but no succes. I asked tvtv to charge back my credit card, but they refuse.

So, no money, no data and no service.
Does anyone know tvtv? Is it a real company?

I tried XMLTY which worked fine with prior Sagetv versions, but when I try now to make the changes in the property file, it's every time changed back. What's the trick?

Thanks,

Robert

yes, the tvtv service is not the best at all. i have configured 31 german and english channels. 4 german and 2 english channels have "no data". but on their website the channels have all the program information.
and more worse: some epg data differs with the reality whereas the data on the website are correct. (no, it was not only a short-dated change of the program)
i have some calls open at tvtv.ch, but the support is (as already quoted) not the best at all. and that for service you have to pay for!

Sage needs to be fully shut down before you can edit the property file (not just asleep), and if you are using Sage in service mode, the service needs to be stopped...

Almost a month passed... Any news on when there will be a fix (or when 4.1 will be available?) The problem is I have a lot of channels that aren't included in my XMLTV source so I'm really waiting for the tvtv to work with sage....

I haven't tested this yet, but... I'm kinda confused, now. @LostInSpace: What do you mean you changed your time zone to GMT+2? Is that your system time or your timezone setting in sagetv.properties? I mean, it can't really work this way, or does it? I guess Roedel is right when he says it's only working correctly if the sage server (i.e. the epg data importing instance) is configured to use GMT.

If you set everything (system, server and client time) to GMT it should work, right? Except all times are displayed in GMT. @Roedel: What I don't understand is why you cannot set the client time in SageClient.properties to GMT+1 and leave the server at GMT so the times are displayed correctly in the client app ??

Well, I think I will run some tests tonight...

the server is getting and processing the epg data. regardless of the client timezone, the time will never be the right. in my network, all systems getting their time from the domain controller. if i change the timezone on the pvr-server the system time will change too... and the epg data are still 1h different.

the timezone trick might works on standalone machines. but in either case you have to deal with it if you create a manual recording or in advanced options with timeframes. e.g. you want record "the news" but only between 19:00h and 19:59h.
