Errors during install....
Been trying to install this so many times.... usually get these same errors. I reburned the ISO on a slow speed, tried diff media...even burned it into a DVD. Not sure what to do anymore... I've installed SuSe before... but this command version is beyond my current linux skills... I took a picture of the screen, can someone tell me if it's normal?...
Once I type reboot and move the CD... it kind of just sits there on a blank Screen. Once it loaded... but said there is HDA1 hooked up... or something along the error, said my superblock table or something might be messed up if there really is a ext2 table on it... :\ I'm downloading SuSe right now, and I'm wondering... is there a way to port the program over to SuSe? or do I have to install it from this CD?.... This error means the CD is bad. It could also be the iso file that you downloaded.
The md5 sum should be : 94f9c3cf258c96ff274c379526679448 _Demo_ |

If can't copy the CD then it didn't burn it rigth
what you using to burn with?. And as _Demo_ said check the sum maybe you got a bad download |

Also, are you reading it on the same drive that you wrote it on? I had a Win98 original that wouldn't read on one of my CDROMs but would read fine in the other. The main symptom was it would fail when trying to install Windows on the CDROM that had troubles with it. I swapped CDROM drives to get it to install and then burnt a backup of the original which worked in all my drives.

I've seen this quite a few times; and here's the solution:
After you burn the ISO, let it sit for 20 minutes before using it to do the install. I've done this LOTS of times as you'd imagine where we burn a new ISO and then do the install. There was convincing evidence that letting the disc cool or 'set' or whatever you want to call it was of significant benefit. I have no idea why this is true; but experience of mine (and telling other people this when they have ISO problems) has made me believe its true.

I re-downloaded it...ran the check on it, and got it up and running Still configuring a few things.... I can't seem to get S-video input to work (Using a PVR-150)
It gives me the error: ERROR (535,0x16): There was a problem setting up software audio compression I don't see why that'd get in the way of decoding the video... I'm not sure if my soundcard is hooked up and installed. Because I don't have speakers on this computer.... I also dont have the TV sound running to my computer yet... So I'm not sure if thats the problem. Anyone know if it could be? Also... The IR blaster for the 150, It says it's supported... when I try to configure it... I follow these steps: I select the IF device option... Enter a name for the device, and it says "You may now release the button on the remote control" But I'm not holding any button... :\ So I've tried just pressing enter to continue... And it just says "There was an error learning the remote control code. Please release the button on the remote control" and just cycles me through to that everytime I press Enter.... I've tried pushing almost every button on the remote... nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated |
