Has this been fixed yet?
My problem is I got the channel on setup, can even preview it in setup, but when I goto the EPG it is just missing in action... Anyone know how to fix that? |

I worked with Sage support and I think we figured out why one of my PBS station’s program guide doesn’t work correctly. The testing was done using the first release candidate. The channel is RF 42 with virtual channel number 22.
The station I am having program guide problems with switches from a four SD multiplex in the day time to an SD and HD multiplex in the evening. I scanned during the day and Sage found these virtual channels: 22.1 (the analog simulcast), 22.3, 22.4, and 22.5. The HD channel was still listed as 42.2, which I had manually entered using a previous release. It was off the air when I had Sage scan and the channel was not found. It was still listed with the RF channel number and not the virtual channel. The other channels that I had manually entered and were on the air were changed during the scan and were now listed with the virtual numbers. When I watched at night, the SD channel 22.1 (the analog simulcast) and the HD channel 42.2 would tune. The program guide and video matched. During the day when 42.2 was off the air I could still select it but it tuned the second available channel which is 22.3. It still had the guide for 42.2 (virtual 22.2). It looks like when a channel is off the air and missing, Sage assigns that program listing to the next available channel. This causes the listings to be off. Because there will always be channels missing, no matter when you scan. The HD channel during the day and three SD channels at night. If you have this problem you may want to do some manual editing. You would want to edit the *.frq file and there is a new procedure. The remap channel name should be in format "virtual major-minor" such as 22-2 instead of freq-major-minor (old way). In my case I should manually edit the *.frq file to add 22.2 with "ch:51 22 2 2 42 0 0 1 #MPT-XX". This would map the RF channel 42.2 to the virtual-name "22-2". |

My situation: I'm running Sage 5.0.4. My existing setup was 1xPVR500, 1xPVR150, and SGraphRecorder/firewire. I recently bought a new OTA HD tuner. I've been able to setup the video source, and Sage correctly downloads the guide data (Digital Tuner -> Antenna -> XMLTV -> San Francisco Local Broadcast). After setting up the channels through the UI (I can preview them), some channels show up in the guide and some don't (For the missing channels, I don't even see "No Data". They just aren't there). Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? The missing channels are consistently missing (when I try remove the source and re-add it, no change). Some missing channels have subchannels and some don't. I'm not sure what the pattern is. Thanks, E Edit: Forgot to add that my PVR500/PVR150 are recording analog cable using the same Comcast lineup and the other tuner is recording QAM through the cablebox using the Comcast Digital lineup.
