If you are still experiencing hangs, did you shut down the service before installing the new version? Can you verify the version of the DirMon2.exe file?

ps. where can i find the old releases of dirmon? I've been all around the Dragon Global Forums and site.
Go to the Global Dragon site, and to Dirmon, then on the link that says "Download," right click on this, and select "Copy Link Location."

Paste the link to the location bar address on your browser, and modify the version to the one you want to download.

Jere, is there anyway you can share the http://www.dragonglobal.org/download/ directory so that one could download older versions easier?

Not that most people would need to do this, but it would make it easier...

almost identical here, checked version and activity file. Still requires a stop/start to begin SA process

DirMon and Show Analyzer separate from SageTV

DirMon and Show Analyzer are separate from SageTV correct?

I uninstalled and re-installed SageTV from scratch and now Show Analyzer has stopped working yet again. What's the fastest way to get it back. Do I have to re-configure everything?

They are separate programs. Uninstalling Sage should not affect SA or DM.

You still must install and configure the comskip STVi or it would appear that SA is not working. Other than that they are completely seperate and will not affect one another.

I use Flachbar's latest SageMC 6.11a. Is there an additional comskip.stvi that I need for that? If so where?

If you are using SageMC, you do not need any import in order for commercial skipping to work. SageMC has built-in support for it.

That is, if you are using Dirmon2 and SA. If you are using Comskip, then I believe you still have to use something called the comskip proxy...

In order to turn on commercial auto skip, you have to hit the options button (or ESC on the keyboard) to get the options menu during a show.

The first step, is to see if you can even see the commercial breaks in the timebar. If they are there, then all you need to do is enable auto comskip, as described above. If they are not there, then the TXT or EDL files are not being generated by SA. SageMC (flachbar's version) can use either TXT or EDL.

You don't need comskip proxy just use Dirmon2 to launch comskip just like you do with SA.

Ah, I see. It's Dirmon2 that is the deciding factor.

So, if not using DM2, then you need the comskip proxy to run comskip...

Anyway. So, back to the original problem...

The setting in the options menu is only temporary for the current show, it will be reset to the global setting (which can be found in Settings/DetailedSetup/Comskip) on the next video ...

Maybe someone can provide a link, if not I'll email it to you if you want to PM me your address.

I think Jere said he thought it might have something to do with how Sage is deleting shows now. I'm still using Sage v5.0.1 so that may be why I'm not having problems, but it might be worth trying the older version of Dirmon2 just in case.

For me it definetly started with the newer Dirmon2 builds, *without *changing the Sage version.

A minipulated link to 0.5.5 does not work. Must have been deleted.

Old Versions?

Does anyone have any old releases of Dirmon? Maybe they could share a link? Version 0.6.1 is really unuseable for me. I'm wishin' I would've saved the old releases.... ugh..

Maybe the good folks at DragonGlobal good put up a page of archived releases?

Well.... in the meantime, I'll drag n drop, manually.

Peace,

Wirenut

I've got 0.5.5 and 0.5.4, but I can't post them here because of filesize limits. PM me and I'll e-mail it to you I guess. I can't think of a convienient place to upload and link it.
