Jere,

I have mapped drives om my client M:\ and N:\. I setup Dirmon2 To run a batch file on the mpg's on my Client but I am getting the following error. I guess DIRMON does not worked with mapped Drives?

2006-Sep-22 08:45:02 - boost::filesystem::directory_iterator constructor: "M:\": The system cannot find the path specified.
2006-Sep-22 08:45:02 - Starting overseer

Just as an update: I switched back to 0.5.5 and am running it for over a week now, and the problem has not re-appeared

Dragonglobal.org website down?

Can anyone get to Jere's website? I was going to download the 6.1 version of Dirmon2 to see if it solves the problem with it hanging on jobs, and can't get to the site at all.

Well, I've been gone for a while...

Apparently, (and this is just a guess) the 0 PID problem is caused by the fact that DM2 does a final "Ok to run" check prior to kicking the job off. If it fails then the job doesn't get removed from the "Active" list. This is corrected in 0.6.2 and I'd appreciate feedback.

I also put up a page where you can get old versions. I don't have 0.5.5 but 0.5.4 and 0.5.7 are up. Blade, if you send me a copy, I'll put it up. The link to the downloads is www.dragonglobal.org/downloads.htm.

Enjoy,
Jere

AH HA! Now that's a good link. I'll post the URL to it in the downloads section. We have long needed a one-stop-shop for Show Analyzer and DirMon. I appologize in advance if it was there all along and I just missed it. Can we have some dates next to the latest stuff so that those of us that care can be even more assured we are downloading the right stuff?

It wasn't there all along. I just never realized that access to the old stuff would be useful. Thanks for the suggestion!

I don't see that as a problem.

It's not just old stuff is it? The new stuff is there too, including betas, and for both Show Analyzer and Dirmon/Dirmon2. Is that correct?

Absolutely correct. And I've put dates on the current version so people can know how old they are.

6.2 still appears to be hanging but I am doing a reload of it so that we can see from there.

Ok it works and I have provided my notes. I'm not clear on the percentage of CPU thing. This needs to be done only in show analyzer I think. Is this generally correct?

Here are my notes on how I set up DirMon

1) Install DirMon 2(the part that will keep Show Analyzer running effortlessly)
Open the ‘DirMon GUI’ and set the following:
Job Management tab
New Job called Show Analyzer
Add Directory of video files to be processed
Point ‘program to run’ to Show Analyzer.exe
Add targets mpg,dvr-ms
Triggers: Must not exist = txt
Waits = verify all unchecked
Global Settings tab
Start automatically at boot-up
Global: total resources available
Run as local username/password
Add cleanup txt, when corresponding mpg doesn’t exist.
Add cleanup edl, when corresponding mpg doesn't exist
Add cleanup my, when corresponding mpg doesn't exist
Note that these cleanup options must be entered one by one (one for txt, one for edl, etc. as shown).
Click 'Install' (note that clicking on ‘start’ here after clicking ‘install’ will not start the service until after a reboot)
SAVE SETTINGS!
Add Dirmon (hidden) to start-up group.

PS. How can I get .edl output as opposed to .txt. I'd rather use only .edl so that .txt doesn't show up at all. Is this possible.

Disable "GB-PVR or SageTV" output to "Never" and enable "MPlayer." If you notice, when you highlight a selection, it tells you want type of file it generates.

You probably know this already... When you do get switch to .edl generation, you will need to modify your trigger from txt to edl.

That is true, but if you are using the latest version of SageMC from Flachbar, it will automatically detect and use either.

Oh, actually, nevermind, I know what you mean my trigger now.

Otherwise, DirMon will be stuck in a loop on every show, because it's looking for the TXT file...yep, that too!

Jere, fantastic work! This is the first v0.6.x version that has worked on the 'wait' part for me. No longer need to use v0.5.x nor set unreasonable 'blackout' times so it only ran at 2am. Even though I only have used/tested one of them, wait until file isn't growing, it works now and works great!

Thanks for the great utility!
