AGP Card with TV-out
I'm running SageTV 4.1.6 on a Dell GX270 small desktop, 2.4GHz, 512MB, Windows XP Pro SP2 with a PVR-350. I've been using the PVR-350's TV-out but want to move to using the PC's video out for a number of reasons.
The GX270 only supports a low-profile AGP card (requires a low-profile BRACKET) and has a 210W power supply. pcalchemy.com recommended http://www.pcalchemy.com/product_inf...r-tvout-8x-agp. This system is used ONLY to watch TV so I don't need gaming capabilities. Do you think this video board will be satisfactory? How will it compare to the picture from the PVR-350? Are there other alternatives for the limitations of my system? |

I would rather have gone for a GeForce 6200 because of the Purevideo support. Found quite many cards with low profiles design out there, but it was hard to find out if the card is bundled with a LP bracket.

I bought an aOpen 6200 not long ago that came with the low-profile bracket.
I think it was the Aeolus something or other line. Newegg has them. A nice thing wa that it came with a second lp bracket so you can still have dual-monitors. One bracket for each connector DVI and VGA. Plus the TV-out looks pretty good. |

I called AOpen and they said the power supply required for the Aeolus 6200-DV128LP Geforce 6200 was at least 350W and they preferred 400W. The GX270 I have doesn't have that much power. |
