Display bug

Thought I'd already posted this, but can't find the post now. Must be getting old :-)

I'm having trouble with playback of widescreen video files in the Media Centre. Sage doesn't detect the aspect ratio, so I bring up the options and set it manually, which nicely letterboxes it for me.

The trouble arises when I pause, or fast forward. The mplayer control OSD and file info box appears in the black section above and below, but it isn't cleaned up after the OSD times out. It isn't updated, but the control widget and info box just stay on the screen until I bring up the option menu again and flip between fill and letterbox.

Anyone have a solution?

Hmm... I guess I'm the only one. I've tried re-installing, but it no better. Actually notice that the OSD stays around on several screens.

My wife is no longer impressed, so I have to put GB-PVR back on tonight :-(

I also have the same problem and posted about it a while ago... http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15992

Also, Music doesn't play for me -- it hangs Sage.

You could try the attached version to see if it still has the problem...

Hi Demo, yes, I was using nvidia OpenGL drivers, not the software ones, if that's what you mean.

I'm going to free up a hard drive to put Sage on, so I can get it working to my wife's satisfaction. This Windows stuff is killing me... spent three nights just trying to make Windows play divx with sound.

Will try your lib, and if that doesn't work I'll umask the latest nvidia drivers and umerge them.

It doesn't hang for me, but it doesn't play either.

I'm finding that there are enough rough edges on this product to make it fall very much in the beta category. Very promising, but quite beta. Hopefully a few more releases will smooth things out.
