Just downlaoded and had a look at this and it looks very nice. I really like the integration of movies, photos, music etc. Will have to have a look at home tonight to see how the PVR side of things works. After just a quick look I think the WAF would be pretty good.

If this is based on meedio, then I'm sure it supports a lot of the hardware that meedio supported.

As for the video quality, a lot of people download iTunes TV shows and play them on their TVs, and even though its 320x240, most people are ok with it watching on their HDTV. The ad part would suck though, but I guess it is like launch.yahoo.com

I'll have to give it a try later.

I tried it today and I like it as a first Beta. You onlt get ads on the Music vids I think. I tried the news and entertainment videos and there was no ads.

I had Sage running, commercial crunching going and Yahoo Go all running simultaneously and flawlessly with my superpowerful system!!!

The music wasn't working for me, and my IRMAN doesn't appear to be supported yet. I did like the ABC News, ET clips, and movie trailers, which were in acceptable quality

WARNING!!

I tried to have a play with the Yahoo thing and had a nightmare.

First off, you can't use it in the UK. I tried to run it for the first time and it came up with an incorrect IP error.

Then, I rebooted my machine and the video card setting were all out of whack. I normally use my machine at a res of 1280x720. When I rebooted, the Display was at a resolution of 1920x1080, however the video card settings were still telling me that the were at 1280x720. No matter how much playing around I did I couldn't get it to display a proper resolution. In the end I had to reinstall the nVidia drivers.

I knew I shouldn't have played with that thing!!
