This is the menu title, which can be changed in 'menu.xml' (in the main Sage directory)...

Sorry, not even fifth thoughts ...

But I'd like to know what is your primary reason for this ? The My Menu setup only has to be done once, when you import new versions of this plugin later on you don't have to do this again. And if you really need the menu option on the main screen, you can always opt to use the dynamic menus as a main menu replacement, and you can design your main menu any way you like (well, you wont have the main menu icons though) ...

Thanks FB, for the assistance. (I tried the other link provided by the other person, but got an error loading the page.)

I'll give that a try when I get home.

Well, okay, not even second thoughts, and oh, good morning. Guess I should have said, "Good night nurse," or however that goes...

True, I like the My Menu, so that should do it for me. Especially when I get that N/a off of there...thanks for the heads up.

So, when, or how, do you select to view the trailer? Does it show up as a button when viewing a movie listing? Or do you have to import the trailer folder or something?

What is the difference between all of these?

[ CH | HU | CH2 | DE2 | SE | SE2 ]

Just a different host, serving the same file?

- bring up the options menu
- Add new menu item
- Internal screen
- scroll down to 'Movie Times Main' and select it
- enter a name for the menu
- bring up options menu again, select 'save menu def file'
- bring up options menu again, select 're-read menu def file'
- now you should have a menu item which will open up the Movie Times screen

As far as My Menu goes--If I set it up this way does it mean I have to go into My Menu everytime I want to use this plugin?? I guess I'm a little confused at what my menu is (just the dynamic menu?) I basically want to set this up inside the My Videos screen like the screenshots posted. Is there a way to do this outside of studio or will the instructions quoted above do this for me? Thanks,--i have very little experience with studio but have noticed that the SageMC stv is different than the stock one in terms of layout-so it gets confusing to follow some directions meant for the stock one.
Thanks,
JUC

JUC, the My Menu is great to add things without Studio, but I do like it much better under My Video too.

Here are some specific directions you can try if you wish.
  1. With SageTv running, open Stuidio (Cntrl-Shift-F12)
  2. Scroll down to the menu page definition of "Video Library Folder View"
  3. Expand it, find "Menu Container" (first widget), and expand it too.
  4. Riight click on "Menu Container" and select New Child -> Item
  5. The new button is now at the bottom of the list as "UNTITLED", change it to "Movie Theaters" or "Theater Times" or whatever you want the button to say.
  6. Scroll up, find "MovieTimes Main", click on it and do a copy (Cntrl-C)
  7. Go back down to "Video Library Folder View" and click on the item you created in steps 4 and 5
  8. Do a Paste Reference, under the Edit menu (Cntrl-Shift-V does not always work right for me). "MovieTimes Main" should appear in italics there now.
  9. Save your changes (in current file or new)
  10. Close Studio

Yes you are right, I believe it means...
CH=China
Hu=Hungary
CH2=China2
DE2=Germany2
SE=Sweden
SE2=Sweden2
...or something like that. The link I posted works just fine for me, and it usually has the most current build. That said, the main site FlachBar provided is newer right now and it is the main home for Mplayer. Make sure you take a look thru the manual pages on the main Mplayer page too, there are quite a few commandline options you can give it to fit your needs.

No, there is a button "Play Trailer", no need to do import or do anything else ...

You beat me to it ...

One disadvantage is of course that you will have to do those modifications again every time you update the STV, whereas you only have to set up the My Menu item once.

Also, as with the web radio button, the new button will be partially invisible if you have your view set to 'File System' or 'Groups', since the SageMC layout can't really fit more than seven buttons on the left side ...

Morgan, thanks for the info. I think (hope) I can get this going in studio based on your instructions. I too--prefer to have plugins like this in thier 'appropriate' screens rather than having to rely on a seperate page with random plugins. And, if I am successful here--its a good intro to Studio for me!
Thanks,
JUC

I may have missed the post.. but, is there a non-sageMC version of MovieTimes which sends a STOP command to the builtin sageTV media player when playing a trailer?

LOL, all the more reason to have an extra menu item added to SageMC...LOL, kidding, of course. Don't want to get the guy that's been giving all these updates ticked off.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'd like it as a Main Menu item, but don't prefer to update the STV every time a new one comes out (call me lazy).

Thank you all for the work on this. It's an awesome addition. My wife, I think, thought it was pretty cool, but it was late last night, and her eyes were barely open. When I get trailers working, I'm sure she'll be extatic.

Roger that. I just installed MPlayer, and played a few trailers for my wife. She loves it, and thinks it's the "coolest" thing.

Thanks guys.

Anyone notice how the IMDB rating is getting cut off? Or is it just me?

I guess you just got lucky with your theme, font and resolution. I was going to try and bring those lines in closer originally but never did that since I wasn't quite sure at the time how to do it quickly. I can do that for the next pass. The shadow really should not be there either.

It's the Razor theme, the one that was ported from Media Portal. I like it the best. I'm not sure if it's included in the base install of SageMC or not, as I can't remember if I or someone else ported the theme.

I went ahead and updated the import file so that it should not be a problem for you (and looks better overall I might add).

The bad news is that you will have to go back to the previous STV file and re-import it.

SageMC Movie Times STV

I will have to check out that nice theme you are using.

Version 0.56 Released

Well, after struggling for a few days to get the Directory browser thing working, I still don't seem to be any closer there.

Sooooo.....

I'm releasing version 0.56 beta. The only reason you would need this version is if, like mkanet, you need playback to stop when you play a trailer. If things are working okay for you, then you don't need to bother.

Enjoy, and mkanet, let me know if you still have any problems.

P.S. Morgan111 - Nice work on getting a SageMC version going.

That did it, now it's perfect.

Here are some screenshots of that theme, with MovieTimes integrated...

Thank you guys!

LOL, so much for my "custom" menu, with one menu choice...
