Rick...
I had the same problem. Base SageTV5, updated to most recent SageMC (addon package), then imported MovieTimes. When I selected the Config.xml file it behaved the same way. Nothing happened. After seeing your post, I closed down Sage and restarted and it worked fine after that as well. (Didn't need to re-select config file, just had the new menu options there waiting for me.)

Yep, I couldn't remember if you or I did it. There hasn't been one since that I've liked as much as Razor.

Great work Aperry. I finally had time to play with this and it worked perfectly. But I do have one question. Is there anyway to change the order in which the screens open. For example when browsing the movie list, if I choose a movie, I'd rather see the info of that movie 1st. If I think it is a movie I'd like to see, then I can choose a theater to see the times. I am using the SageMC import if that makes any difference. I haven't tried the .stvi you have provided.

Oh...and the theaters do not list in the order I placed them in as well.

I tried this over the weekend but couldn't get it to work. I extracted the MTSA.exe and everything to the default directory as instructed in the PDF, and did the import and made the modification in studio with no problems. I can access the Menu and it asks me to Load the Configuration File, but when I try to choose the file the directory browser doesn't give me any options except cancel. I tried with both the Sage standard STV and SageMC STV, and neither one would allow me to work the directory. I also tried accessing the menu via Nielms My Menu in case I screwed something up in studio but keep getting the same result. I also tried exiting Sage and restarting it to see if that helped as others have posted, but no love.

FWIW I'm trying to configure on a Sage Client and I've had SageTV so long it's in a "C:\Program Files\Frey Technologies\SageTV" Directory if that makes a difference. Any help is appreciated.

Well, I figured out why the theater order is not in the right order when you look at it in the theaters list. I'll get it fixed in the next release.

Regarding the directory browser, as some have noticed, there are some times where it does not actually show the directory names. I'm still looking into this, but it is difficult to figure out as the browser works fine in my STV by itself, but when I import it, it goes all weird. I'm going to look for help from some of the Studio experts...

pcuoco - reply and attach your config.xml file and your locations.xml file. Mike, who posted earlier, has gotten this working in a Sage Client environment I believe, and I'm sure there have been others.

Awesome, and great job on the other features. I'm glad you organized the SageMC settings menu as well, it's much better.

So, if I use one of your built-in menu's, do I just disable "My Menu?" I'm sure all will be more clear when I install the new version...

Cumstom1 to Custom3 are additional main menu items which you can enable or disable independently of the 'My Menu' item. If you dont need a separate submenu screen, you can of course disable the My Menu ...

Sure you can ...

But why did you hold off until now ?
Morgan111's SageMC port already worked with 6.5 ...

The source code for mtsa has been posted:
http://movietimes.home.comcast.net/mtsa/download.html

And a new non-beta version was posted with extra error-checking code. The next version will include a completely rewritten Apple Trailers module using the iTunes section of Apple's website. I've already done some work on that but decided not to wait on releasing the source.

If anyone codes any fixes or additions, please send them my way so I can possibly include them in the next release.

If the author opens up the actual MTSA source code (which seems likely since the source for the other version is open) I could add it directly, or if he doesn't want this feature added or doesn't open the source, I could make it a stand-alone program that runs in a batch file directly after MTSA runs (so you would just schedule the batch file to run instead of scheduling MTSA to run directly).

(My .NET skills are so rarely useful for Sage Customization, I feel I should offer when the rare occasion occurs that they might).

aperry I will attach those files when I get home tonight. I didn't touch them other than to extract them to the C:\MovieTimes folder.

You've out done yourself...again. I've got it configured exactly the way I want now, with a main menu item "My Showtimes." Only thing, is that I have to type everything in with a keyboard to get lower case letters. Is there any way to toggle upper and lower case while using the on-screen keyboard?

This is just awesome. Now, all that we need are MIM's glassy icons!

Version 0.57 Beta Is Posted

The only difference here is there is a new version of the MTSA program. This new version will download many more trailers than before (key master rewrote as he indicated above).

If you already have MovieTimes configured and running on your system, all you have to do for this version is to replace your mtsa.exe program (usually found in C:\MovieTimes\). The next load of data should load significantly more trailers (my trailer count more than doubled with this new version).

Enjoy!!!

pcuoco,

To get MovieTimes working, you might try this...
  1. Install MovieTimes on your server machine into C:\MovieTimes.
  2. Create a share on your server machine pointing at C:\MovieTimes, and call it MovieTimes.
  3. On your server machine, and on your client machine, map the M:\ drive to the MovieTimes share on the server (\\server\MovieTimes).
  4. Inside of Sage when you look for your configuration file, use the one in the M:\ share you just created.
  5. It should prompt you to load the locations file (if not navigate to where you would set that). Be sure you set it to use the locations.xml file in M:\.
  6. Be sure to point your MTSA executable to the one in the M:\ directory as well.
  7. Since the directory browser is not working all that well right now, you should exit Sage at this time and go in and edit your config.xml file and change any remaining "C:\MovieTimes\" to "M:\".

Once you have this all done, if it still doesn't work, please repost your config.xml and locations.xml file after trying the above and I'll see if there is anything else I notice.

Messed up descriptions

Aperry, the new MTSA did give me the rest of the trailers I was missing. Thanks!

However, I'm STILL having issues with display movie descriptionns and movie showtimes. I already tried re-importing the STVi See the attached screen shots. All my movie descriptions look like that. I noticed though, after I play a trailer, it displays the information correctly. I posted about this several posts back, but I guess you were busy at the time and overlooked my previous post.

EDIT: I tried t revert back to the oldest STV version I use, but the problem is still there! Unfortunately, starting from the stock STV isn't an option for me, I have lots of customizations that aren't from stvi's.

Currently, as nice as this addon is, it's not really that useful, since I can't read the showtimes! I would appreciate help to get this working soon. If it will help, i have also included my STV (actually its an XML)
