Where to extract xlm file
Thanks for the reply Geogecko, but it is still unclear to me where i extract the xlm file. Does it go into the C:movietimes folder, or does it go into the Sage TV folder. Thank you for the clairification!

Program Files/SageTV/SageTV/STVs/SageTV3 folder. I can't remember if it contains the path already in the download, if so, then it should go in your: Program Files/SageTV/SageTV folder.

I'm lost on the SageMC version install
I was able to get the base version for sage tv working but after i updated to sageMC I can't get this to work. If someone could provide step by step instruction as to how to install this plugin with sageMC i'm sure it would benifit many.
With the movietimes stv inport there were two sets of zip files that i had to extract. one to the c: movietimes folder and the other to the sagetv/sagetv folder (this contained the Jars and stvs files). With the sageMC version there is just one xml file. where does this file go? I've extracted it everywhere i can think of but when i go to setup/detailedsetup/advanced/importsagetv application package, there is no movietimes file to import. the only options i have are: saveMC_169, SageMCE(folder), SageTV3.stv, and Weatehricons..... when i go to setup the menu ctrl+shift+F12 there is no movietimesmain folder as there was with the base sage tv version. your time and assistance is appreciated. |

That should be placed in directory: \Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3 All of the files from the original MovieTimes import should be installed. If you had hit running before then you should be OK. To add it to "My Menu" you can follow the instructions in post 245 here http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...&postcount=245 I need to do a little cleanup sometime and create a seperate download thread for it with all of the required files and support info. |

The navigation annoyance (as mentioned in previous posts) really started to bother me, so I cooked up a quick modification that brings you directly to the Movie Detail instead of the Theater selection when you select a Movie from the initial "Movies for all theaters" screen
The "Showtimes" button in this case will show the times for an arbitrary theater that shows the movie, and the back button will return to the "Movies for all theaters" screen. But if you get to the movie details page by selecting a specific theater first, then the functionality is as before: the "Showtimes" button will show the times for the selected theater, and the back button will return to the list of all movies shown at this theater. Morgan, if you like this tweak then feel free to include it in your plugin download. Dirk |

Dirk, that was a good idea to add that. I will go ahead and start a seperate download. I'll start with your modified version and make it re-importable. I need to finish up a new little project first.... Morgan |

Thanks for this. Much better than before...
(Only thing I would prefer is to have the path in the zip file, so that you just install it in the SageTV/SageTV directory...) (I'm a bit lazy sometimes...) Only other thing I would like, is instead of it just picking a theater that it's showing at, when you click on "Showtimes," would be to have a popup that would allow you to select the theater of the ones you have configured, would be awesome...

Morgan, figured you were still busy with the other project, so hope you were not working on this too. If so, just disregard my update ... Dirk |

That little popup makes this so much easier to use. Thanks! Just wondering, if I had like 10 theaters selected (I actually only have 4, but I imagine in some areas, people might have more), will they have a selection of 10, or is it limited to some number? Scrollable?

It must be just me, but
The SageMC install instructions seem to be all over the place, with no clear indication as to what all to install in MC to make this work. What I did was grab the OP download, copied in the JAR, and the MTSA stuff and set that up. I did not use the original file's import (is this where I goofed?) but instead grabbed the one last posted by Dirk, and imported that. Configured things, but no matter what I do, the Movie Times screen only shows the "Configure" and "Back" buttons. MTSA was run by itself and downloaded images and some trailers. so that part works. but I really dont know where to go on getting the GUI part working as it should be.

No, I think you did it correctly. Did you install in the default locations (MTSA program)? If not, you'll need to tell it where to go.
I believe the instructions for the point where you are at, are in the original download, in PDF format. You skip the studio section, but there are some things to watch out for.

Yep installed in the default locations, and skipped the studio part, simply added Custom 1 to MC.
now I just went in, and have List Movies and List Theaters as well (mad eno changes to anything) but both those options are empty. *edit* somehow it removed my zipcodes, and put in another one like 72071 or something, so I changed that to mine, and re-loaded my theaters and am now manually running mtsa.exe again to see what happens. *edit2* re-rain mtsa.exe, exitted sage, reloaded sage client, selected both List options, and both are empty with a message of "no movies found. please run an update to download movie, theater, and showtime information". However the C:\movietimes\media directory is populated with files. I think I'm giving up on this for tonight..

Finally got it. Huge mess with this thing and it living on a server computer and trying to make it run on a client. But I now have things working, although I havent tried to play a trailer yet.
Is it normal for it to now have most trailers? I have 18 movies listed, and only 4 trailers?

It depends. Have you checked to see how many are actually in the trailers folder?
If you ended the MTSA program early, it may not have downloaded them all. I know it takes sometimes 10-15 minutes to run on my system.
