The dragmetohell-tlr1rr_h480p file name that is trying to be played when playing a trailer is interesting. It looks like part of a streaming URL. Did you have MTSA configured for streaming trailers at some point? If so, you might try deleting the moviedata.xml file and try rerunning MTSA. It almost seems like MTSA isn't downloading trailers because they may already be defined as streams in the moviedata.xml file.
I don't think it should matter, but you are missing some of the newer config options in the config.xml file. The newer options should be pretty self-explanitory...here is a copy of my config.xml file: Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" standalone="no"?> <ConfigurationSettings> <LocationFile>\\dvr-server\Movies\movieshowtimes\locations.xml</LocationFile> <LogFile>\\dvr-server\Movies\movieshowtimes\media\log.txt</LogFile> <TempFolder>\\dvr-server\Movies\movieshowtimes\media\Temp\</TempFolder> <NumberOfDays>7</NumberOfDays> <PosterFolder>\\dvr-server\Movies\movieshowtimes\posters\</PosterFolder> <PosterQuality>High</PosterQuality> <PreferEnglishPosters>True</PreferEnglishPosters> <TrailerDownload>True</TrailerDownload> <TrailerFolder>\\dvr-server\Movies\movieshowtimes\trailers\</TrailerFolder> <TrailerQuality>HD480</TrailerQuality> <PreferEnglishTrailers>True</PreferEnglishTrailers> <BackDropFolder>\\dvr-server\Movies\movieshowtimes\backdrops\</BackDropFolder> <RemoveOldMedia>True</RemoveOldMedia> <DownloadExtraDetails>True</DownloadExtraDetails> <DownloadExtraDetailsTMDB>True</DownloadExtraDetailsTMDB> <DownloadFanArt>True</DownloadFanArt> <XmlDataFile>\\dvr-server\Movies\movieshowtimes\media\moviedata.xml</XmlDataFile> <XmlSchemaDataFile>\\dvr-server\Movies\movieshowtimes\media\moviedata.xsd</XmlSchemaDataFile> </ConfigurationSettings>

I am pretty sure I didn't have it configured to stream trailers, but I am not even sure how to do it. As an aside, I do see a small temporary file appear for Angels & Demons. But when it is all done, everything disappears. I tried using your config.xml (modified with my file locations) but that didn't even give me posters. I did notice that your file locations used UNC paths; is this recommended even if all the files are on a local drive? Deleting the moviedata.xml file didn't seem to have any effect.
I lost some time last night when I had to replace 3 capacitors in one of my HD-100s. Hopefully I can play around some more with it tonight. Thanks for the ideas. Wayne |

Another issue. Yesterday my wife called and said Sage "was being very slow". I told her to go reboot the server, which she did. This solved it. This morning, I turned on the TV for 5 minutes before leaving for work, and it was slow again. So I went downstairs to reboot, and discovered that a command prompt window was open, and MovieTimes was running and acting as though it was downloading. Upon asking, my wife confirmed that this same situation was occurring the day before (why didn't you mention that when I had you reboot, honey???). I did not have time to mess with it, so I rebooted and left for work. I expect that the same thing will happen tonight, overnight, if I do not make some changes. So that brings up questions - why is this suddenly happening (I did not change anything - this is complete coincidence with me posting on this plug-in a few days ago)? What time of day does MT start trying to download trailers? Can it be changed (and how)? And more importantly, how can I check to see if it is still really downloading, or if it is locked up? I suspect it is locked up - I checked network status and it was at 0% activity, which would mean nothing was downloading, right? Or is it possible that it is trying to download huge HD files and it's just taking hours?

Got Trailers!
I went back and made only a few changes to config.xml to see if I could get things working (working remotely). I added the line
<TrailerDownload>True</TrailerDownload> and that seems to have done it for me. I do have a trailer for Angels & Demons. I have TrailerQuality set at HD480; I will probably play around with this now. Thanks again for your help and patience. Wayne |

I set trailer quality to HD1080; I got trailers for all the same movies when it was set at HD480. All of the file sizes were much larger except for Angels & Demons which was exactly the same.
Now I can't wait to get home and actually try them out! Wayne |

You asked about my usage of UNC paths in the other post...The only reason I used UNC paths is so I can use the same MTSA config (config.xml, moviedata.xml, posters, and trailers) on my SageTV Client running on another PC. This lets me execute MTSA on the server but allow both the server and the other PC client to access the data, posters, and trailers through a common UNC pathname.

On edit: I believe the thing that was hanging MTSA was "download extra info from IMDB" being "True". I was getting to the "Getting movie details" in the log and it was stopping (if I remember correctly, it was sticking on Star Trek). Perhaps that file is just huge, and it was still DL'ing after a long time, but it appeared frozen, so I quit MTSA. Then I changed it to "False", and re-ran MTSA.exe. Everything ran fine, except no trailers (the temp files appeared and then disappeared, but no trailers). So, like thomaszoo, I noticed that I did not have the "<TrailerDownload>" line in my config file. I added it, re-ran, and now I am watching trailers fill up. (BTW, how did I get some trailers before, without that line?)
However.... It failed to find a trailer for "Angels & Demons" (first movie attempted). Thoughts on why? "Dance Flick" (second alphabetically) loaded at HD1080 - all 177MB of it - and "Drag me to hell" is currently downloading. Crossing my fingers, and going to bed.... On edit #2: As of this morning, I have 18 trailers (HD1080) and 20 posters (two of the movies were "IMAX Experience" versions of the originals, so I really have all the trailers). And I noticed that the "Angels & Demons" trailer did download later, even though (as above) it originally had failed to load. THANKS AGAIN to everyone for their advice!!!

Ran into another small issue in that my second HD extender wouldn't go past the Load Config File screen. A look at the clients properties files for each extender showed that the second one did not have the aperry lines. Copy, paste and restarted Sage fixed that one. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the trailers.
Now if I could only get the English version of the Star Trek trailer (I guess I could download it manually?). Wayne |

Nephilim,
Thanks for popping over here to let us know! Very much appreciated! I'll install it tonight. Does this fix the issue with getting the "Up" trailer and poster? I'm getting real sick of Seth Rogan's face appearing when I see Up. |

Yep... working great now. Up downloaded just fine, as did standard posters for the IMAX Star Trek and Night at the Museum 2 showings, which makes sense, since there aren't actual IMAX posters.
As requested, here are my location and config files. Note that the config file was created by myself based on the new switches as I understood them to be, along with text instructions, based on the original MTSA. If I'm missing anything or my instructions are incorrect, let me know and I'll make the necessary changes. |
