Re-downloaded 3 seperate times...45.xMB download...don't know what's going on. I'm at 5.0.3 at the moment. Can someone put up the MD5 Hash of their 5.0.4 download?

Oops, sorry - I was thinking it was the install screen, not the modify screen... don't know why it shows a 'SageRecorder' path, though. The file that you downloaded is "SageTV_V5_0_4Setup.exe"? If not, go to the main download page -- the link is in the first post here & my sig lines.
If that is the file, perhaps it got installed to a different directory somehow w/o removing the old one -- check such places as "Program Files\SageTV" (current default install dir) or "Program Files\Frey Technologies" (old install dir). I would make a backup copy of the existing SageTV installation directories, uninstall, then run the 5.0.4 installer again. BTW - I have an MD5 checksum of: Code:
SageTV_V5_0_4Setup.exe 100% 1796ceded4bfa116e041f278b2ef376f

MD5 is good. I'll try it again right now, stand by ....
P It took! Don't know what happened...musta done this... (how many releases since 2.2.8?) The re-boot screen was a surprise. Thanks for the hash. P Last edited by Polypro; 06-11-2006 at 11:29 PM. |

Uh-oh I got a pop-up screen that stated that SageTV needed to re-boot to complete installation. I know, never saw that before either. I was using an STV that I edited in Studio, but I don't know if that matters.

Perhaps the service was running when you did the installation? I have never used the installer while the service was still running, but I know it works properly w/o having to stop the service first.

5.0.4 swapped FF for FF2
I just upgraded to 5.0.4 last night from a version in the 4.xx sequence, forget which one. It would be 4.1.3 or earlier, since I noted I've uploaded SageTV_V4_1_3Setup.exe to that machine, but I don't believe I got around to running it.
Now the FF and RW keys on my ATI Remote Wonder activate FF2 and RW2. Very strange. Edited FF2 and RW2 values to fix, since I never use them anyway. No other strange behavior noted. |

Just thought I'd chime in, Sage 5.0.4 with JRE 1.4.11 is extemely stable for me!
I used to have Sage drop to the desktop periodically, but it's been about 2 weeks of smooth sailing now... |
