No such problem here. In fact I seem to restart my SageTV server frequently lately and the MVP just reconnects without any problem.

Can anyone confirm/deny whether this bug (service-mode probs w/MVP) is fixed in 6.0.14? I didn't see anything in the release notes related to this but we can live in hope..... ;-)

Andy.

I didn't install 6.0.13 because someone a couple of posts back said they were having the same problem using 6.0.13.

I'll give 6.0.14 a bash I guess.

Don't! It was fixed in 6.0.13, but after installing 14 last night neither of my two MVPs boots anymore.

In which case, make a backup of 6.1.12 before trying 6.1.14. Not worth ignoring a new version because one person has a problem, it may be another factor. Most people saw this problem disappear with .13.

I didn't see this problem in 6.0.14 but I've had two occasions now in 6.0.15 where the MVP either locks up or won't boot to the main screen.

Anyone else seeing this?

Andy.

I had that problem when moving from 6.0.12 to 6.0.14. You will hate my fix however. I reinstalled Windows (needed to do it anyway as the system needed a good cleaning). Things work better than ever now and am on 6.0.15.

I'm still getting lockups at MVP switch-on. A hard power-on of the MVP yields the same result. Only a restart of Sage Service allows the MVP to work.

6.0.15.

I tried clearing out the clients folder but it didn't make any difference.

Anyone else seeing this?

Andy.

Have you tried turning off the service and running SageTV normally?

Not sure if this is any help - but - I had a problem where the MVP would get to the SageTV booting screen and stay there flashing indefinitely. I changed from using a software DHCP Server in my PC to using teh DHCP Server on my router, and that sorted things out for me.

Cheers,
Tristan

Not on this version - I'll try that.

Luckily I'm getting past that screen and I'm on the flash screen. Thanks anyway.

Andy.
