I'm having a rather strange audio problem with this latest beta. On some programs I have audio, but it's like I'm missing certain tracks. On tonight's Heroes, I could hear some music and dialog, but other sounds were missing. For example, I could hear Claire speak, but not her dad. I could hear the background music, but not the sound of water running in the kitchen or a door closing. Swiched over to Tivo (which records off the same feed using a spliter) and it was fine.

Sounds like you're not hearing the center channel speaker. Can you bring up the PureVideo decoder and try the speaker configuration?

What's strange is it's only on a few recordings. For about 80% of the other recordings (including other AC3) the audio is fine. It has happened twice now for Heroe's on NBC.

I've had something similar to this happen on several HD broadcasts. It has especially happened in sporting events where I could hear the crowd, but not the announcers. I've found that changing channels, then changing back usually fixes the problem--but I think I have to change HD channels so the affected tuner actually changes. I use AC3 filter.
